Maintenance/Locations

Locations represent individual stores or the Warehouse within the chain. While each Location is related, they have unique properties to enable specific identification for operational and reporting purposes.

Location Types

Locations can be categorised into four distinct types, selectable in the "Location Type" dropdown:

Retail Store

A standard retail store owned by the company. These stores manage their own stock levels and communicate with Head Office.

Franchise Store

A retail store operating under a franchise agreement. By selecting the franchise option, you can identify these stores separately for reporting purposes. Additionally, setting a Location as a Franchise prevents sensitive data, such as sales and performance information, from being shared with other locations.

Warehouse

Warehouse locations differ from others in that stock transfers to them are automatically processed without requiring confirmation.

Virtual (Mail Order)

This type of location represents virtual operations and may be linked to a physical location. If selected, all mail order sales will be tracked separately, appearing as though they were made at a distinct site.

Consignment Location

Consignment locations represent sites or stores that do not belong to the company (e.g., an agent or reseller). This setting allows Ramsys to track stock transferred to these stores (on a 'sale or return' basis) and monitor sales, even if the consignment store does not use Ramsys. For further details, see:

Stock Level Weighting

Locations can be assigned a weighting, which governs how quantities are distributed when placing orders. For more information, see Stocklvl Weight.

Set Shopify ID

Ramsys can integrate with a Shopify eCommerce store. This option allows you to connect a Ramsys Location to a Shopify store for inventory level synchronisation. Note that more than one location can be linked to the same Shopify store.

Performance

The Performance page displays a graph of monthly sales for the past 13 months, providing insight into the location's sales trends.
