About Memberships

Ramsys supports memberships through its Customer Relationship management system (CRM).

CRM Members may have an expiry date. If this date has expired while they may still use their CRM they will receive no automated discounts supplied to CRM members, they will still receive rewards points (if enabled).

Practical uses of memberships

You may sell memberships to your customers on the proviso that valid members receive regular discounted products and/or promotions aimed at members. Life members have an empty expiry date.

Memberships may e increased in the CRM master screen or by selling items set as memberships.

ie.

a Customer scans their membership at point of sale. The system warns the operator this customers membership has already expired. You may sell a membership immediately to re-enable the membership so the customer receives a discount. If the customer declines to renew, they may still use their membership, if the company has a rewards system they will receive rewards.

Note: rewards could be used to purchase memberships to reward loyal customers further.

This is ideal for clubs where members receive discounted drinks but it could also be used to create a second tier membership for retailers such as health stores and pet stores promoting loyalty.

Note renewing a membership in the following scenarios

  • Customer buys a 12 month membership, their current membership has expired. The new expiry will be today + 12 months
  • Customer buys a 12 month membership, their current membership has not yet expired. The new expiry will be the expiry + 12 months
