Job Scheduling

Job scheduling refers to the process of scheduling and managing tasks or processes related to the delivery of services. This facilitates scheduling appointments, allocating resources, managing workflows, and ensuring timely delivery of services to customers or clients. Job scheduling is essential for several reasons:


Appointment Management: Scheduling appointments with customers or clients. Job scheduling ensures that appointments are made efficiently, taking into account factors such as availability of service providers, location, and customer preferences.


Resource Allocation: Service delivery often requires the allocation of resources such as personnel, equipment, and materials. Job scheduling helps in optimising resource allocation by assigning the right resources to the right tasks at the right time, maximising efficiency and minimising waste.


Task Prioritization: Not all tasks in service management are equal in terms of urgency or importance. Job scheduling allows for the prioritisation of tasks based on factors such as service level agreements (SLAs), customer preferences, and business priorities.

The job scheduling screen is divided into 2 parts


Appointment Options

There are functions you can perform on each appointment. For easy access to these functions simply select the desired function and tap <Options>


Un-Schedule an apointment 

Select this to remove the appointment for this service. This will result in the service moving back to the Unscheduled list.

Set Duration

If you feel you need more or less time to perform a service you may alter the expected duration.



You may adjust the expected duration for the service as needed. You can specify the duration in Weeks/Days/Hrs/Mins or any combination. For example, in the previous example, we set a duration of 4.5hrs.
